Biography

Dinouk Colombage is a consultant and public policy expert based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with a diverse background in governance, international relations, media and communications and journalism. Following his work as an award-winning journalist and photographer, Dinouk’s work in governance over the last decade has ranged from legislative affairs to senior advisory roles to Heads of State.

"My work in the world of governance and legislation has shown me a society governed by laws made by man. Through my photography I explore the beauty of the world that has been left untouched by society and the modernity of time.

Having taken my first photograph in 2004, I was captured by the thrill of being able to show others what I saw with my own eyes. By continuing to document the world around me through my camera lens, I hope to introduce people to a new perspective of the otherwise ordinary. I am currently a contributing photographer to Getty Images. My work takes me around rural Sri Lanka, which has fueled my passion for nature and photography, culminating in my continued exploration of the photography world."​​
